Pregnancy Nutritive Tea
- Stinging Nettle:
- Raspberry leaf:

1 tsp/cup up to TID
May take throughout gestation as needed
Uterine tonic/Calcium tea
- Raspberry leaf tea:
- Oat straw:
- Alfalfa:
- Nettle:
- Mentha:
Tones and strengthens uterus and helps to decrease
spasms and cramps in the legs and feet being high in
calcium, prepares system for birth.
Add yellow dock/lamb quarter to increase iron.
Tincture to stop bleeding
- Shepherd purse:
- Yarrow flores:
Dose: ½ teaspoon q2h or 7 drops q ½ hr. May dilute this in tea
or water
until sts stop. ½ teaspoon in tea form drink ½ cup q ½ hr.
To stop spot bleeding
- Shepherd purse:

Make standard infustion
Dose: ¼ cup / 65ml q ½ hr until bleeding subsides.
notify your midwife/ Dr.
If necessary and bleeding is heavy and stubborn, add 1/8th to 1/4
tsp cayenne
to tea q 15-20 minutes. It will be hot but often works
wonders. Do not take if sensitive to
stimulants

Tincture to prevent miscarriage
- Cramp bark:

- False unicorn:
Doses: ½ teaspoon to ¼ cup of warm water
or tea, and drink q1/2 hours till signs and symptoms (S+S)subside,
may
be used as tea also.

Prevention tea
- Wild yam:

Follow decoction instructions and take ¼ cup
q ½ hr until s+s subside. Use this tea along with
tincture above if necessary and decrease dose
as s+s subside

Nervine tea
- Oatstraw:
- Lemon Balm:
- Chamomile:
- Peppermint:
1 tsp/cup TID PRN
Anti-yeast tea
- Sage leaf
- Raspberry
- Mullein
- Calendula
4-6 tablespoons of herba per quart of cold water.
Make a decoction, mix ½ and ½ with cranberry juice.
Drink 3 cups TID between meals or ½ hr after meals.
Note: sage may dry up breast milk.
Yeast/ vaginal thrush
douche every 3 days till clear or daily if severe.
- 1 quart water/ ¼ cup of yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
Varicose veins/liniment external

Water retention

Eat lots of dandelion greens also.
Nettle, Burdock, Dandelion and Chickweed are nutritious with
a
gentle cleansing influence and as great relief for excess
fluid
Itching skin

Pregnancy Tea (after first trimester) for simple cystitis

Hemorrhoid salve
A soothing salve/ointment reduces itch and swelling

Pregnacy/dyspersia/Flatulance
An excellent formula assisting the GI system by
recoordinating
peristalsis and regulating gastric acid.

Nausea
This simple remedy is often all it takes to calm the
sensitive
GI in early pregnancy.
