Child Remedies
High calcium tea
- Nettle
- Oatstraw
- Raspberry leaf
- Lemongrass
- Lemon balm

Dose: use dosage chart
An excellent herbal mix with high quality naturally chelated
calcium and
other vital minerals necessary to aid:
- growth spurts
- bone muscle injury
- pregnancy related cramps and
joint/lower back ache
- teething - may begin giving weeks
or even months before teething begins
Colic
Colic tea
- Fennel:
- Dill:
- Anise:
- Chamomile:
- Catnip:
- Stevia:
Dose: Infuse 1 tablespoon of mixture in 1 cup of boiling
water and let sit covered for 45 minutes. Cool and strain
Give the infant teaspoon dosages every few minutes
until colic pain ceases.
Colic - child/infant probiotics
- avoid irritating factors in diet and environment
Utilize colic tea and/or slippery elm gruel as required.
Try the colic tea 1st - if required, add slippery
elm
gruel/tea TID for both mom and babe - mom drink 1 cup
TID babe as much as desired or ½ tsp doses as needed.
Diaper rash powder
If diaper rash persists and Herbal Rx fails, it could be herpes related virus or difficult yeast - type fungus - see pediatrition

Do not use cornstarch on fungal rashes as it can encourage
bacteria

Mix powder - shaker bottle like spice jar
For diaper rash add powder to Baby powder

Sprinkle as powder or mix with water as paste and apply

Earache Oleum
- Garlic oil or St. John' Wort
- Calendula
- Mullein flowers oleums
Warm oil in teaspoon over candle
warm to temperature of mother's milk or room temperature
suction oil into dropper and instill several drops into affected
ear
give the same q1/2 h or as needed - excess oil will drain out
within a few minutes
DO NOT GIVE if perforated drum is suspected.
Ie. Pain stops a yellow pus like blood
drainage from ear / known perforation see MD
Tincture (internal) for ear infection

Chicken Pox/Measles/Skin eruptions
Involve your MD/pediatrition if child is < 2 yrs and/or
measles
is involved
Super immune syrup
- Echinacea root/tops
- Astragulus root
- Oatstraw tops
- Burdock
Make syrup of this from decoction or strong tea
Give 1 tsp q1h till signs and symptoms clear
up to 6 - 8 times a day continue for course of infection
Use dosage chart - do not go over the total allowable
amount for your child's category for the day
You may sweeten tea by mixing it with apple juice
warmed and add a cinnamon stick or slight sprinkle
of ginger or cinnamon
Herbal pops - these are good for nutritive reasons or
teething
Do not use for cold flus, colic, ear infections
